You can easily invite people using the !invite command. You address an invite to either an email address or phone number.
If the person accepts your invitation, you'll receive a notification, but you can start messaging them straight away with rhub.
The !invite syntax is:
!invite [name] [phone number or email]
So for example to to invite Mary at her email address:
!invite Mary mary@example.com
Or to invite Mary on her mobile phone:
!invite Mary 55512345
You will receive an SMS back from rhub like this:
An SMS invite was sent to Mary (55512345)
After you get this confirmation you can use Mary with rhub, and she'd be in your contact list as a 'friend'. So if you address a message to your friends, Mary will get it straight away, without having accept your invite:
>Hey all, Mary has joined us!
Mary and your other friends will receive 'Hey all, Mary has joined us!'
Be careful with the format of the email address or phone number. Please remove formatting from the phone number (e.g., spaces, hyphens and brackets) and if the number is in international form (e.g., contains the country code like 61 for Australia) make sure you put the '+' prefix before the number.
