You can use your phone, your instant messaging account or email to send messages with rhub! The magic that makes this happen is what we call the Console - a way of interacting with rhub using simple text-based commands.
Before you start using the Console, make sure you've properly set up your Profile with your contact details, otherwise rhub will ignore your message, as it thinks its coming from a non-user.
You can send these commands using the Console.
Sends a message to a contact
>[person] [message]
>thom Hey thom, how's it going?
Hint: If you are sending a message to a contact, you can address someone by their full name or username, and rhub should be able to handle mispellings. Also, if you have a contact named 'Alexandra' for example, you can also message them simply as 'Alex' (assuming you don't have a contact named 'Alex'). If you want to message someone who's not a contact, you have to use their unique rhub username.
Sends a message to a group you've joined. This uses the Unique Group Name, not the longer group title.
>&[group] [message]
>&streets Hey streets peopleHint: If you leave out the '&' by mistake, rhub will still send the message correctly as long as there are no users with the same name.
Sends a message to friends
>> [message] or >friends [message]
>>Anyone going out?

Sends a message to friends at named location
>@[location] [message]
>@re Hey everyone at the RE!

Sends a message to a discussion thread
>#[thread id] [message]
>#100 I agree
Sends a message to nearby friends
>@ [message]
If rhub is having trouble finding what/who you're trying to send a message to, try adding a colon (:) after the name, for example:
>&test: Message to test group
>John: Message to John
Rhub will match anything before the colon, instead of just looking at the first word.
