You can use your Jabber or GTalk (it's the same thing, we'll just refer to it as 'Jabber' from now on) client to access your rhub account. The commands you can issue are the same console commands you can with email, SMS and so on.
Privacy: If you'd like to keep your address private, simply edit your privacy settings.
If a message should be delivered to you via Jabber, rhub will not do so if your status is offline or away.
You can use any console command using Jabber. Simply start up a conversation with 'rhub' (jabber@rhub.net) using your Jabber client and send the commands. For example, to send a rhub message to John, send:
>John: Hey there!
Or to set your location to be Home Base, send:
@home
And so on.
Some Jabber clients support sending automatic responses when you are away from your computer. This may have the side effect of sending unintended replies to groups you receive messages from. To counter this, we'll drop any message from Jabber that starts with:
