Hello everyone,

Thank you for participating in the rhub research project. Your patience and help has been much appreciated. Hope you have had a lovely holidays, and do enjoy 2007! Rhub has been busy lately, in the last month over 2,000 text messages were sent out! I hope that you've found rhub useful and I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of it over the coming months.

• Invite your friends! Rhub is pretty stable now, and we’d love to see how it goes with more social groups. Start a rhub group and invite your friends, it’s quick and easy to do. See People, Inviting for more.

[edit] Things rhub can do that you may not know about:

• Public transport information: Rhub can tell you what bus, ferry or train to catch to get somewhere using your phone
• Locations: Addresses and phone numbers of locations and contacts can be looked up using your phone
• When you tell rhub where you are, it’ll also notify your friends that also frequent the same place. You can also notify all your friends if you want too
• Feeds: Subscribe to feeds with your web browser or RSS reader to stay up to date without having to visit rhub.net all the time. More content will be available via feeds depending on demand
• Handy: You can use rhub using simple commands sent via a text message, MSN Messenger, an email or the web
• If you have a Flickr account or blog, rhub can syndicate your data so your friends can stay up to date. Simply set the details in your profile. Coming soon is Last.fm (music) and del.icio.us (bookmarks) support.
• Photos: Not only can you share your Flickr photos, but you can also share photos directly on rhub. There's even a downloadable tool for Windows to make it easy to upload a whole bunch at once. You can tag photos, people can comment on them and stay up to date with your latest using feeds

[edit] Messaging

• Mailing list-style discussions are also supported, it doesn’t have to be instant messages
• To send a message to a group via a text message, send >&[group] [msg], such as: “>&soccer Anyone up for soccer this afternoon?”
• To send a message to a person, just use their name >[user] [msg], for example: “>john G’day John!”
• Messaging filtering lets you decide what messages to receive and what to ignore - great for cutting down on incoming messages.
• You can even send a message to people at a particular location
