It's really simple to set your presence using your Jabber/GTalk client, simply by using Jabber's in-built status message feature. You can set your location as well as your status using this feature
First make sure you've got rhub talking to your Jabber account properly. See the Jabber topic for information on this.
Now, using your Jabber client, set your status message to be the same as the console presence command, for example setting:
@home: Working from home
Will mean rhub will set your location to home, and your status message to 'Working from home'. The general form of this command is:
@[location]: [message]
So you can slot any location name or alias into [location] and of course your status message goes replaces [message]. If you don't want to set a message, you can leave it off (along with the colon character), like this:
@work
