Sending a photo via email is really straightforward.
Note
Rhub will only respond to emails sent from an address you have set in your profile. The initial step then, is to make sure you have a correct address set in your profile. This way, rhub can associate emails sent from that address with your account.

Address an e-mail to photos@rhub.net, attach a photo and send. It'll appear on rhub in around a minute. Any text in the email is treated as a description of the photo. Sending in plain-text format works best.
You can do some trickier stuff with the email interface.
Say you want to upload multiple pictures in one shot, and have a description for each. To do this, make sure each image has a unique filename. Then, in the body of your email prefix the description of that particular picture with '**<FILENAME>**', and put each description in a single paragraph. I.e., say I want to describe IMG_001.JPG and IMG_002.JPG, I would put:
**IMG_001.JPG** This is me at my graduation **IMG_002.JPG** Learning to walk
Note: If you don't specify which filename a description is associated with, the same description will be used for all attachments.
At the beginning of a description, rhub will look for specially-formatted metadata. This takes the general form of:
-> [key0]:[value0] ... -> [keyN]:[valueN]
Where each bit of metadata is on it's own line. An example is:
**IMG_001.JPG** -> tags: graduation -> location: UQ Center This is me at my graduation
