Tags are a simple way of organising things. Instead of having to wrap your mind around a complex heirarchy, or remember id numbers or specific phrases, tags let you make sense of things in a lightweight manner. You can add one or many tags to an item.
You can assign tags to many things in Rhub, such as photos, groups and locations.
Click 'Tags' for an item
Type in the tags you want to set, separating them with a single space, and then click 'Save'
Tags appears as hyperlinks
A collection of tags is known as a 'tag set'. This set is made up of tags that you've assigned for a particular object, as well as those from other people. You can only ever edit your own tags though. In some cases you'll only see your own tags, such as for contacts.
After tagging something, you can 'use' your tag, by clicking it's name, to find the thing again. You will also see other things you've tagged using the same word, thus giving you a list of related things.
Tags are used internally by rhub to relate things to eachother on the basis of tags they share.
You can browse tags by visiting the Tags page.
