Transport

Contents

[edit] Overview

There's nothing worse than having to wade through a schedule to find out when the next bus is going to the city.

Rhub to the rescue!

Rhub can tell you how to get from A to B with a bus, train or ferry. It's simple to use, and you can use it while mobile.

[edit] Using it

The transport feature is only available via the Console - which you can use via your phone, MSN Messenger, Jabber/GTalk the web or email.

1. Rhub needs to know where you are first. If you haven't already set your current location using the presence feature, you'll need to do that, perhaps, @uni. If you're at home, and you've set your Home Base, you can send @home

2. Next, tell rhub where you want to go, and how like this: !bus pub or !ferry home. If you don't care how to get somewhere, use !transport. Naturally, if the location doesn't exist in Rhub yet, it can't tell you how to get there. Be sure to add locations you might want to use! You'll get back a short message giving you times other info.

[edit] Recap

So first tell rhub where you are using @ then use !bus, !ferry, !train or !transport to find out how to get to another place.

[edit] Tip

If you're using this via your phone, you can save yourself a message by joining the two commands with the pipe character - '|'. For example, @pub|!bus home.

Note This feature is currently only available for users and locations in Queensland, Australia.
